Baobei had her 1st bdae party on 23 May 09 at Caribbean@Keppel Bay Function Room. We purposely kept it a small affair and did not invite a lot of people. It had been an exciting 1 year when we saw Baobei grow from one with a relatively boyish face to one with a more girlish outlook now *phew* She had also learnt to say words like 'Dad Dad', 'Pa Pa', 'Ma Ma' (but not as frequently as the former 2 words)... also learnt to wipe her mouth with a handkerchief after drinking her milk, learnt to crawl or creep forward using her butt, clapped hands, shook hands, play 'ET' with us, did Mexican wave, high-five, kiss, hug, pat and made clicking sounds with her tongue... She had also learnt to make sad, happy reactions with her own actions... She loves to look at her own photos and loves Winnie the Pooh and flowers (she would automatically lean forward to hug Winnie The Pooh and as for flowers, she would lean forward to smell them!) =)
We arrived early @ Caribbean in the morning and dropped Baobei off at my in-laws, meaning to let her catch some sleep before the party in the afternoon so that she could enjoy herself.

Dearie had also specially made a video of Baobei, which we let it play throughout the party... but don't think anybody noticed it... cos the sound was too soft and was muffled by the excitement of the party going in... haha!
When it was time for cake-cutting, and Dearie had started gathering people around, Baobei, on her own initiative, clapped her hands and aahed spontaneously at the guests, as if thanking them for attending her 1st bdae party! Got us all laughing and clapping with her, to see her spontaneous reaction... Think she must be enjoying herself, seeing so many people and presents... haha!
