How time flies! Charmaine is 2 already! To celebrate her turning 2 on 12 Dec, we booked a staycation at
York Hotel over the weekend, 10 to 12 Dec. The hotel itself was a bit disappointing, and we would not be going back the next time... We had purposely chosen York Hotel, as it's within the Orchard Road area and we could take the opportunity to take photos of the Xmas decorations...
More photos of our staycation and Xmas decorations would be put up later... Below are just some snippets of our stay & Charmaine's simple celebration with my in-laws. =)

Charmaine liked the chocolate cake from TCC!

The girls loved taking photos with the

After being away from blogging for so long, I am back... =)
Charlotte and Charmaine will be attending the same preschool next year, at Thomson Road Baptist Kindergarten next year. We attended the school orientation last Friday, and bought 2 sets of uniform and 1 set of physical activity attire for each girl. We also booked school bus transport for them. Their school hours next year will be 11.15am to 2.15pm, and every Friday is Physical Activity Day.
Wonder how Charmaine will react on her first day at school... Still remembered how poor Charlotte used to cry and whine for almost the first month when she started attending Capstone Kindergarten this year! Since Charmaine will most likely be the youngest (she's born in Dec) among her classmates, she might take a longer time than Charlotte to adapt?
Dearie and I are glad that both girls are getting along better now... There are still occasional fights and screamings, but these are unavoidable... =P
Personally, I am glad that Dearie plays an active & hands-on "Daddy" role... I managed to doll myself up for my good friend, Shuling's wedding last Saturday at Orchard Parade Hotel! It was great catching up with the girls during the dinner! Thanks Dearie!
Me dolled up...
All of Us At Shuling's Wedding
Yeah! We have the bed to ourselves again! Charlotte has been sharing our bed with us since 6+ months old... As for Charmaine, she has been sleeping on the pull-out bed since 1+ month old in the nursery, which will be the girls' room in future...
Last Thursday, Charlotte suddenly told me that she wanted to sleep with mei mei! Dearie and I were very surprised and happy when she volunteered to sleep on the higher bed, while Charmaine slept on the pull-out bed... We kept our fingers crossed that it was not an impulse decision on Charlotte's part...
Luckily, she slept through the night on her own bed and only looked for us the next morning when she woke up! We feel so blessed that Charlotte's transition to her own bed is so smooth and the 2 girls are finally sleeping in their own bedroom... but sad to say, we still need to coax them to sleep separately at nights... guess we need to take 1 step at a time...
Wow! How time flies! It has been 5 months since my last entry... and tomorrow is a big day for Charlotte! She turns 2 tomorrow!
This time round, there is no birthday party but a family outing to Underwater World at Sentosa in the morning and dinner with my in-laws at Liang Court in the evening. Last year, Dearie also took leave and celebrated our birthdays (since mine was 2 days after Charlotte's). We also brought Charlotte to UW but she was too young then to really appreciate the fishes... This year, we believe she'll be able to have more fun at identifying and interacting with the fishes! Charmaine will be too young though... Hee, and the cycle begins...
Our 2 girls never fail to make us laugh... Their affection for each other really tug at our heartstrings... Every morning, when Charlotte opens her eyes, she will ask Daddy to wake up and look for Charmaine in the next room... Charmaine loves to watch her and will touch her hand or pull her clothes, to which Charlotte will say "En En likes Charlotte's shirt/pants"... Hope they will continue to stay close and love each other...
Have been a SAHM for nearly a year (having quit wef 3 Jun 09)... have gotten used to this lifestyle and look forward to every evening and weekend, when we can spend more time as a family. =) Tomorrow, we will wear our first family shirt, which we specially ordered for Charlotte's 2nd birthday. The birthday girl will also wear a tiara-headband, which we hope she'll not remove for photo-taking...
