opened the letter box today n noe wat letter we received? an advisory notice of speeding offence for dearie! apparently, dearie was cot speeding in our pooh-canto on 18 feb morning! thinking back, it was 1st dae of cny n we were heading to my in-laws n along the way, were cot by a patrol officer on duty... he could hv been fined $130 and be awarded 4 demerit points! omg... but luckily dis letter onli serves as an advisory n no summons action wil b taken against him... however, letter states that the traffic police will maintain a record of dis advisory n not hesitate to take summons actions against drivers who accumulate multiple advisory letters or similar warning notices for speeding...
geez! dearie was laughing his head off upon receiving dis letter... cos nobody would ever imagine being cot for speeding in a picanto! known for itz petite size n small engine... haha!!
he purposely asked me to put dis down in my blog n c wat kinda reactions ppl wil get upon reading dis... :P
yesterdae was ren ri, or everybody's birthdae as wat we chinese say... had dearie's psyc honours frenz over for a cny gathering @ our home in the afternoon, followed by a mini-gathering @ my in-laws at nite...
lou hei twice ydae... so in total we lou hei four times dis cny! hope wil realli b a good yr for us! out of the 4 times, 3 yu sheng are bot fr sakae sushi (which is realli yummy wif fresh salmon) while 1 is bot fr cold storage....
dearie's parents n sis jus returned fr osaka the nite b4 yesterdae... u noe wat they got back as souvenirs for us? dearie got a 'safe driving' charm fr a temple in kyoto n a model of the car (delorean) featured in 'back to future' which is now in the showcase cabinet in the living room... for myself, a white 'hello kitty' plush toy bot fr universal studios n.... a 'have babies soon' charm fr a temple... @ 1st whn my mother-in-law passed me d charm, she had a weird smile on her face, whn me took out the charm n read the chinese wordings behind, got a shock... then his sis explained dat dis charm is step 1, there are 2 other steps, namely 'safe delivery' and 'more babies' charms... wow! the japanese are so detailed!

it has been a wonderful start to the Pig Year for myself... hope same goes for all of you... :)went house visiting on 1st 2 daes of CNY... had reunion lunch @ my parents' n reunion dines @ dearie's parents' on eve of CNY, followed by late nite movie "Just Follow Law" wif dearie n his guy frenz... v funni n nice show, pokes fun @ the public service... hee.... went river hongbao on dae 2 of CNY nite... so many ppl, saw ppl trying to use their upturned brollys to catch gold flakes fr the Fortune God... so crowded! had to guard my handbag tightly to my body... luckily dearie used himself as a shield for me... hee...had lou hei twice... once wif his parents on CNY eve n the second time wif his guy frenz @ our lovenest... his parents indicated outrightly their New Year wish... we decided to jus let nature take its course... no matter Pig or Rat... but Rats could be challenging, given our experiences wif our own siblings...one of my New Year resolutions has come true.... hope all ur resolutions wil come true too ya?Gong Xi Gong Xi...
mui kiang, my manager, is leaving us n todae is her last dae... told myself 2b strong n nt cry... but alas...morning, she came in cheerfully, wif heart-shaped cookies from spinellis (which she specially ordered n made for all of us) n angbaos for each n everyone of us... inside each angbao is a handphone chain which she specially made for us... each chain is unique n representative of us... she said she cant find pooh bear accessory, n bot a hello kitty one for me.... she made all these handphone chains last nite... so touched...tears jus started flowing whn me went to her cubicle to tok to her... she has been such a nice boss n fren... being our pillar of support for all the difficult n challenging cases... offering us valuable advice on a personal basis... cant take it, hugged n cried in each other's arms... me made her tear too... as a farewell gift for her, CR team specially made a cross-stitch for her :P a sun-face, to symbolise the bright sunshine she gave us :) each of us did 1 part (me did the face)... Jerlene is doing cross-stitch for the 1st time n she was so happy when she accomplished it! Jun dun like doing cross-stitch but she stil did one of the character of muikiang's name... we r gonna miss muikiang's contagious laughter n bubbly nature fr tmr onwards... :((all the best, mui kiang! continue to stay in touch...
dearie wanted to prepare lamb chops for our v-dae dines last nite... but the marketplace @ vivocity & cold storage @ harbourfront do not sell marinated lamb chops... :( in the end, his idea of a romantic western dines was ruined... but it turned out well after all... we decided to hv steamboat instead.. :P bot our fav food... oso had chivas wif green tea.... were so full after dines... haha!! happy 7th v-dae together & 2nd one as a married couple again! :)
saw this cute cute V-Dae card at Precious Moments at Tiong Bahru Plaza while shopping around n waiting for Dearie to knock off... the front cover shows 2 bears sitting side by side on a couch while the inside has a big heart... cot my eye n immediately bot it...luckily last weekend, Dearie was busy wif his pre-course project work n me had time to write on the card :) else, dunno how to find 'alone' time to do dis... hid in the bedroom after ironing clothes n started writing around the heart, feel it to be more unique n wanna make use of the heart... :)dis morning, had a hard time trying to find a suitable time to slot the card in his bag... dun wanna hand it to him personally as find it too monotonous... quickly zipped up his bag so dat he wil onli discover it when he's @ course :) hee... he had a pleasant surprise whn he saw it during his course :) glad my plan worked! @ about 2.30pm today, a parcel from Dearie was sent to my office... hee... a red box wif a nightie & 6 red roses inside... noe sth wil b sent to office todae... but din expect the nightie... :P a surprise in dat sense... Dearie cant realli kip secrets... he actualli asked me whether me wil b in offc dis week... so me guez mus b some gift delivery one of these daes... haha!looking forward to dinner wif each other tonite, enjoyed in the company of our lovenest :P
tomorrow is Valentine's Day, or Love Day as some of my frens called it... :)how are you gonna celebrate it? :P went for lunch at SMU dis afternoon wif colligs... felt so old & missed NUS daes, wif the bazaars and themed decorations put up during such special days... imagine workplaces oso hv such things... the idea wil b crazy rite? :P bot a key pouch for dearie as his V-Day gift... we were looking around at the Wallet Shop at Bugis and he was looking out for a key pouch to put his hse keys & car keys inside... saw a few classy and executive ones which cot his eye... initially he dun wanna buy but think itz fate then... the sales staff was standing rite behind him (dearie's back was facing him) n me immediately stretched my hand out with the key pouch n asked him for a new piece... dearie was oso cot by surprise n got no time to react... hee... tada... datz my V-Day gift for him :)he oso said he gonna prepare dinner for us tomorrow after work... :PP looking forward to it :)happy V-Day to all of you, my dear frens :))
last Fri, 9/2/07, was the day for collection of GCE 'O' Levels Results. time flies... it was 11 years ago when me collected my results wif butterlies in my stomach... but last fri was oso a day of anxiety & anticipation for me... as my sis, Jialing, would be collecting her results :)wished her all the best on thur... then busy wif work on fri, totally 4got abt it until dearie sms-ed me for her results at about 2+... tried calling Jialing but she din answer... so dropped her an sms... shortly after, mum called & told me her results... she got 7 points! wow! so clever! :) mum actually asked whether she can continue to stay on @ TJC... hee! told her of course lah! :) as a form of reward for Jialing, we decided to buy her a DS lite :) cos she can only play mine when we go back on weekends... she & my youngest brother Yifeng, particularly like to play with Sparky & Wolf... so gave her Sparky & Wolf wif a new pink DS lite (as her favourite colour is pink) wif a free game Super Mario! :) glad she having fun now.... she plays Super Mario while Yifeng plays wif Sparky & Wolf... me on the other, continue to play Animal Crossing on my own white DS lite... while Dearie went back to playing on his Gameboy Advanced :P
