the start of the new fiscal year, with ppl getting their deserved year-end bonus, brought news of ppl tendering their resignations.... suddenly in feb 07, our dept wil shrink by 5, probably 6 ppl... such a drastic change rite? no prize for correct ans :P sighz... fewer ppl in the dept and the workload wil nt decrease, but increase! esp wif the upcoming Silver Tribute Fund which ends in Jul 07... dis of cos means the few remaining pathetic souls wil hv to shoulder more responsibilities... dis does not bode well for us... sighz...all of us are so stressed... the only consolence we have are in the few moments when we are able to laugh ourselves silly at some jokes or even at some of the feedback some commuters provide us... other than dat, is seeking solace in FOOD! :) haha!! yesterday, we ordered dessert delivery... check out their website! http://www.bytheservings.com/ yumz! me ordered Mango Tango :) dis morning, we ordered McDelivery for our breakfast... me ordered egg mcmuffin meal wif iced milo :) usually wil make bread for dearie & myself to bring to office, but dis morning, jus made for him cos me gonna hv mcbreakfast in office :))
been toying wif the idea of perming my hair since last year... worried me will look weird wif 'bombastic' and 'high maintenance' hair... oso more worried that perming will damage my hair further....
asked frens for advice n opinions... even did some research on my own on the net... chanced upon a forum wif a thread on perming, wif some tips on daily maintenance so that hair wun turn too dry or coarse...
finalli on last sat, 13/1/07, made appointment wif my hair stylist @ 10.30am, the time the saloon opens... reckons it will take a long time, so might as well have it done earli... lionel, my hairstylist, said can perm, dun hv to wori, cos similar to rebonding, wun dry hair... 1st, he layered my hair (keeping the length), then rebonded roots of hair to ear level, then permed my hair from the ear downwards... will do highlighting 2 weeks later, so as to let the curls settle 1st, & he will do touch up if need be...
@ 1st, after he put cream and blew-dry my hair, me seemed 2b wearing those judge's wigs, wif many strands of tight curls, realli looked so funni... he told me since me been used to straight, rebonded hair, me may take a while to get used to permed hair... which is veri veri true....
on sun, me even contemplated rebonding my hair again, cos the curls jus seemed so un-manageable! hair seemed 2b in a mess everytime, me cant comb my hair too... instead of alwiz brushing my hair like me used to do, hv to twirl my hair nw instead.... instead of twirling into 4-5 strands, me jus curl into 2 big strands n bring forward...
nw getting more used to it... :)) *phew* else my $200 n 5hrs spent on dis will go down the drain...
today marks the 80th month of us being together :) took our monthly neocard ydae too :Pafter work today, we went to collect our honeymoon photos @ Toa Payoh Central... our proj dis weekend wil b to decorate our honeymoon album :P on top of attending joyce's wedding lunch & paying respects to grandfather-in-law...me had a craving for roti prata for dines... dearie brot both of us to Prata Place @ Springleaf Road... had a hard time finding parking lots! felt realli bad for giving him unnecessary headaches of finding parking spaces on top of the heavy rain...but the trip was worth it, hor? the prata were so crispy, rich & fresh from the pan! we ordered plain prata, garlic prata, egg & cheese prata and egg & mushroom prata, and teh tariks... had a realli yummy dines! took a slow ride back home after dat...happy 80th month anniversary, dearie!
Happy New Year to all of u! In this year 2007, do you have any new year resolutions? I do have a few... hee... hope can fulfil & wun gif up halfway... ;Phad a super long weekend... *shiok* cleared my last dae of leave on Fri, 29/12/06... me not able to bring forward my leave to the next year, need to consume all within the same year... went for dental appointment on Fri morning, so as to use my staff dental benefits for year 2006... the bill came up to a OMG price of $200! onli able to claim up to $150, nid to use $50 outta my own pockets... hmmz... no choice, given dat my teeth nids alot of polishing & maintenance, given long periods of neglect... *oops* dentist decided to have me back 6 months later, so my next appt wil b 9/6/07... she oso said me got 1 wisdom tooth *kiping fingers crossed dat it wun gif me probs* dearie came back from work in the afternoon, meaning to gif me a surprise... he tried to use his keys to open the front door silently, but too bad, me in living room watching korean drama "My Girl" & heard his silent moves... so instead of giving me a surprise, me gave him 1 instead! hee... he then bluffed me dat he had skipped lunch & drove back 2c me a while & nided to go back again.... me was so sad & touched, then he said he had taken the afternoon off lah... hurray!!Sat, 30/12/06 was our housework dae :) as usual, me finished the ironing for the whole week while dearie did the labour of mopping, vacuuming, cleaning d toilets etc... thanx dearie!Sun, 31/12/06 (New Year's Eve) was a trip to JB wif his frenz & gfs... we purposely went to shop for more DVDs :P had a fruitful trip where we bot alot of shows :P yeah, can relax & spend more time in our nest, catching up on DVDs liao... think wil take abt 1 week for our DVDs to arrive in singapore... in the nite, we invited his frenz over to count down to New Year together... we showed them our wedding nite as well as fetching the bride DVDs.... brot happy memories to both dearie & myself... oso screened "Band of Brothers" DVD to them... take note itz not the show, but a homegrown production of dearie & his 8 bros... they directed & produced a DVD for dearie as a wedding gift, his was part 1 of the many more parts to come... me was part of the conspiracy in producing dis DVD then too, whereby me provided the Director our photos for him to create the photo montage before the clip... :P dearie onli got to know dis on Sun... he was pretty surprised dat me kept it from him... hee... dun wanna spoil the surprise mah... Mon & Tue, 1&2/1/07 were pretty much rest & relax 4us.... we cot up on more DVDs, including "Accepted" (comedy), "Death to Smoochy" (dark comedy), "Transporter 2" (action), "Talladega Nights" (comedy), "Brokeback Mountain" (stoopid gay show)... oso sorted our honeymoon photos, reduced from 400+ to 250+ photos 2b developed so dat we can decorate our honeymoon album... dis mus b a joint project, mustnt b myself again... else meaningless...
